The purpose of this guide is to present resources for both the discovery and utilization of research data and statistics.

What is SAS?

The logo for SAS, a blue stylized S followed by "sas" in black textSAS, which originally stood for "Statistical Analysis System," is a statistical software suite that requires a paid subscription. Though it was originally an exclusively code-based tool, recent versions of the software have adopted a more straightforward, point-and-click user interface.

Kenyon does not have broad access to SAS, though some courses may use SAS and are mediated by their instructor. A free, browser-based version of SAS with reduced features, called SAS OnDemand for Academics, is available via the link below.

The SAS website contains a huge array of tutorial and how-to videos that can be accessed for free. Have a look at them using the link below:

SAS Book Collection

Kenyon has access to nearly 200 SAS books published by the software's developer, SAS Institute. Adding "SAS Institute" to a keyword search should bring up these books; a link to an example search is provided below.
