Dance Resources

Welcome!

This guide is intended to help students in Dance courses, or engaged in Dance research, in locating useful resources. These include commercial resources provided by the library and made available to the Kenyon community as well as Dance resources freely available on the web.

As the library liaison to Dance, I'm happy to help you navigate your research related inquiries. Feel free to call, email, or click on the purple button (in my profile box) to arrange an appointment.

K-Search

Kenyon's one-stop search tool, K-Search, is a great tool to use if you have a particular author or title to search for; it's also a good place to start a general search for scholarly and peer-reviewed materials.

To the left of your results list, you'll see options for filtering your results:

  • Peer-reviewed (under "Show Only")
  • Publication Date
  • Resource Type (e.g., Journal Article or Book)
  • Subject area

Reference Databases

Encyclopedias and biographical dictionaries can provide definitions and foundational information about a topic or a person and place them in wider historical and cultural contexts. Browse the online reference collections below to expand your understanding of a research topic.
